Rituals for well-being
We are modernising the approach to meditation. How? By replacing commonly known traditional practices for something that will seamlessly benefit the lives of the busy modern day person.
One ritual at a time.
The Rituwell Club
We all have an idea in our head about what meditation looks like. Commonly thought of as a practice that requires you to sit in silence and empty the mind, or sit in a certain position whilst chanting. But there is more than one way to find success in meditation and there is more than one form that can target the likes of busy minds, fidgeting and restlessness.
We are here to show you how you can achieve a state of presence, mindfulness and reflection without the pressure of getting it right. Instead, focusing on the act of practicing, finding what form of movement helps your mind and finding rituals that support your personal well-being. Because we believe there is not a one size fits all approach when it comes to well-being and nor should there be.
So how do you figure out what works for you?
Simple, keep trying new things until you find something that resonates with you. Backed by a supportive community who value the same things!
We aren't here to tell you that our way is the only way either. We specialise in meditation that includes using restless hands to tap on acupressure points around the body that hold tension, emotions and limiting beliefs. Also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) or Tapping.
Internally verbalising and acknowledging what you are currently going through so that you can start to move forward. Creating and holding space for you to process emotions in a safe environment, to invite reflections and cultivate a clear path forward.
If you are someone who responds to being prompted questions to reflect upon we are for you. If you are someone who needs a place to come to, to have un interrupted and undivided you time, we are for you. If you need to re-fill your cup and create a more loving and connected relationship with yourself, we are for you.
Let's answer some commonly asked questions together!
Meditation is an intentional practice to relax, reset, release and reflect. An opportunity to be present in the moment and check in with yourself.
We don't believe that you need to empty your mind to practice meditation. The brain has millions of pieces of information entering at any given moment so to ask to instantly switch that all off is physically impossible. There is also many ways to meditate, in our guided meditations we exercise using EFT tapping for those who are generally fidgety, overthink or struggle to relax.
Emotional Freedom Techniques, otherwise known as tapping is simple self soothing technique that calms the nervous system, through gently stimulating meridian points throughout the body that hold on to emotions, trauma and tension can release inner roadblocks, produce clarity and lessen the intensity of those negative thoughts, emotions and experiences.
Find an intentional spot you would like to sit or lay down to meditate, preferably somewhere you wont get interrupted. Pour yourself a glass of water or some tea and get comfortable, notice your breath and how it feels in that moment. Optionally you can place one hand on your heart and one on your stomach, take a nice deep breath in, in through the belly filling up your lungs and just as deeply exhale through the mouth, acknowledge any ruminating thoughts coming up and give yourself permission to deal with them later. Give yourself permission to relax and remind yourself, for the next 5 minutes, there is nothing i have to do, nowhere i have to be, no one i have to take care of, this is un interrupted time for yourself. You can meditate on a reflection prompt, continue focusing on your breath or a mantra.
Meditation can help you as much as you are willing to lean into the practice, it is a personal journey that can be enriched with reflection and clarity, relaxation, intention setting and a practice that you can use to calm your nervous system and turn into a self love ritual.
